Advisory for the 24th SEAPAVAA Conference & General Assembly

Note: The 24th SEAPAVAA Conference, 8th – 12th June 2020, Da Nang, Vietnam is cancelled as per the announcement released by the SEAPAVAA Executive Council and the Vietnam Film Institute on 10th March 2020.

This Advisory is jointly issued by the SEAPAVAA Executive Council and the Vietnam Film Institute.

In light of the recent developments on the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV),  we would like to inform everyone that the SEAPAVAA Executive Council, SEAPAVAA Secretariat together with the Vietnam Film Institute (host institution for the 24^th SEAPAVAA Conference & General Assembly), are closely monitoring the situation.

All preparations for the 24^th SEAPAVAA Conference & General Assembly are proceeding as normal. At this stage, it is fully expected that the event will proceed as planned.

If you are making advance travel bookings to attend the 24^th SEAPAVAA Conference & General Assembly, may we suggest that you take out travel insurance to cover you in the event of a cancelled conference and general assembly because of heightened health risks and travel restrictions. Please check that the provisions of your travel insurance will cover such an eventuality in case it does happen.

Should there be a need to cancel the 24^th SEAPAVAA Conference & General Assembly:

• we will announce the cancellation by early May 2020.
• we will post the cancellation announcement on SEAPAVAA’s corporate website as well as the conference website.
• the SEAPAVAA Secretariat will concurrently email the cancellation announcement directly to the SEAPAVAA membership.
• we will also notify non-SEAPAVAA members who may have registered for the conference by then.
• we will make a refund in full, of any registration fees, tradeshow booths fees, and cash sponsorships that may have been paid by then, for the event.
