The Iranian National Television Archive in collaboration with the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, has recently completed its translation of the third edition (2016) of Audiovisual Archiving: Philosophy and Principles in Farsi.
The Audiovisual Archiving: Philosophy and Principles is a publication by UNESCO under the UNESCO’s Memory of the World programme. Written by Dr. Ray Edmondson the Founding President of SEAPAVAA and an Associate Individual Member of SEAPAVAA, the book provides a rationale and theoretical basis for audiovisual archiving. The first edition was first released in 1998. The third edition (2016) is a revised and updated successor to the second edition, published in 2004.
The book was originally published in English and thus far has been translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, Burmese, Thai, and Farsi. All versions are available on https://bangkok.unesco.org/content/audiovisual-archiving-philosophy-and-principles.
