We are pleased to announce that Linda Tadic will deliver the keynote address at SEAPAVAAās Virtual 25th Conference on 23 – 25 June 2021.
Linda Tadic is the Founder/CEO of Digital Bedrock, a managed digital preservation service that helps libraries, archives, museums, producers, studios, artists, and individuals preserve their digital content. She has over 35 years of experience in leading preservation, metadata, and digital production operations at organizations such as ARTstor, HBO, and the Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia.
She is currently an adjunct professor in the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Moving Image Archive Studies programme teaching courses in Digital Asset Management and Media Description and Access. Previously, she was an adjunct professor in the New York University (NYU) Moving Image Archiving and Preservation programme (courses in collection management and cataloguing and metadata).
She consults and lectures on digital asset management, audiovisual and digital preservation, the environmental impact of digital preservation, copyright, and metadata, with clients as diverse as WNET/Thirteen, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, SBS (Australia), Dunhuang Research Academy (China), ESPN, and the Missouri History Museum.
She is co-author of the book Descriptive Metadata for Television: an End-to-End Introduction, and was editor of the revised FIAF Moving Image Cataloguing Manual. She is a founding member and former President of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA), and is currently on The National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA) Coordinating Committee.
She has presented on āThe Environmental Impact of Digital Preservationā at several international conferences since 2015.
