This is a reminder that the AMIA Sub-Committee for the Compendium of Moving Image Cataloging Practice would like your participation in their survey!
Are you curious what database or cataloging systems are being used by individuals/institutions with audiovisual collections? Would it be helpful to know how other individuals/institutions are capturing and recording audiovisual technical metadata? Are you trying to figure out new workflows to describe emergent audiovisual formats and could use the decisions of others as a guide? The updated edition of the AMIA Compendium of Moving Image Cataloging Practice, which will be published by AMIA and SAA (Society of American Archivists) in 2015, aims to provide information like this and more to custodians of audiovisual materials. The more who fill out the survey, the more complete of a picture we can provide to everyone.
You may access the survey here. We are extending the deadline for the survey by another week. The new deadline isMonday, March 03.
Please contact Thelma Ross at tross@oscars.org if you need assistance or have any questions.
Thank you for your consideration.
